26th of the 1st Angle

Two days till my first day at college. Not sure about it myself, but my dad wants it all the same. So here I am, about to try to fill my sister’s shoes, while she is off to moons know where. But on the bright side – at least my folks will give me some space. 

1st of the 2nd Angle

The College of Clavis’ campus looks pretty grim. Maybe it’s due to the grey stone buildings and snowy weather. Maybe because the place allows me even less freedom here, starting today. 

14th of the 2nd Angle

Hey diary, it’s been a while. For now all we go through is pure theory, but it is exhausting no less. I have to admit, the history of this place is not as trivial as I had suspected… Something inside me is starting to enjoy the flow of knowledge, despite it being so tiring, and even tedious at times. I now look forward to actual practice. 

8th of the 4th Angle

Next Angle all students of the first Circle will be allowed to cast the simplest magic of Clavis under strict supervision. I grow restless with anticipation, every passing day is a slow torture. To think it felt scary at first…  

2nd of the 5th Angle

I feel weird. I need rest.

3nd of the 5th Angle

All students are given a few days of rest after their first attempt of a 4-component spell. Now I see that was a wise decision, those who thought of that must have seen a lot of people through these studies. The things you have to imagine, to imprint onto your inner vision, to concentrate on… The concepts of pure violence, of unnatural and perverted acts and ideas. The sheer knowledge of it simply cannot compare to the actual experience.

27th of the 5th Angle

Some people decided to leave the college, my roommate among them. No wonder, after all we’ve been through this Angle. It gets lonely without him. Mind classes are helping more than ever. I don’t feel like giving up. Definitely not yet.

1st of the 8th Angle

Practice Angles are over. They say the sign that number eight represents is the first connection you build on your path towards becoming a Clavis magician. ‘So Eighth is the first Angle of your new life’, they add. ‘Remember that feeling of dread, but don’t forget that you are stronger than that.’ This Circle we don’t touch any more 4-component spells.

26th of the 10th Angle

I don’t really want to go home for Crystal season. I am definitely going to miss college. Might be a good idea to borrow a few books in the library before I leave. See you next Circle, College of Clavis.
